CWR4B is a 15-week, lower-division course that satisfies the second half of the University of California's Reading and Composition requirement. For the first 10 weeks of the semester, students in this section of the course read journal articles and general-audience books that academic scholars have written about their field to better understand how practitioners “do” their disciplines. In the final weeks of class, students conduct research on what it means to be a writer-practitioner in their own discipline.
More information about the projects students do is available on the Projects: Overview page. Sample projects are available on the Projects: By Discipline page.
All students in this section of the course are invited to share their research on this site. The work of students who accept this invitation appears on these pages.
